Why Bartram’s? A number of years ago, my wife Sophie and I ‘discovered’ Bartram’s Garden as a place to take a walk ‘out of the city’. At that time, we would encounter small deer, pheasants, maybe even a fox once in a while. We became members of Bartram’s Garden, and at some point I convinced the Director at the time to let me have a show of my paintings in the barn, which wasn’t yet being used the way it is today, with a percent of the proceeds going to Bartram’s. The show sold out. Now that my wife and I are doing fine without the proceeds from my art, I like to direct the entire proceeds to Bartram’s.
