MORE ABOUT ED

In 1966, after graduating from Princeton University with a BArch. degree, he returned to Philadelphia for his MArch degree at Penn, subsequently working for both Louis Kahn and Robert Venturi for short times before heading off for military training in Missouri for the National Guard. He opened his first Architectural Office in 1974.

Appointed to the Philadelphia Art Commission in 1996, he was instrumental in organizing Design Advocacy Group (DAG). He began painting in 1969, and in 1989, American Artist published a six page illustrated article about his work, entitled “For Love of Brush and Paint”. He helped organize the first city-wide “Philadelphia Open Studio Tours”. Having visited Ireland a number of times, (he fell in love with it) a sizable chunk of his paintings were produced there.
